SIX HEALING WORDS

Some time ago I showed you theses things about healing for today in this time period.

1.       God can and still does heal.

2.       The Bible declares that he will do this.  No set period of time has been placed on God’s healing power, it has not stopped.

3.       Everyone has experienced healing in some measure or you would be dead now.

4.       Certain actions in the individual and in the church are needed to activate healing.

5.       I also preached on 4 supernatural steps to healing and they are

      A. The laying on of hands  B. The Name of Jesus   

      C.  The prayer of agreement.  D.  Take some Action

For number six, please turn in your Bibles to Acts 3:1-8 Say the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  Now turn to Psalm 120:7 Sent His Word – Word in person.  Wherever the Word of God is released in faith and power, in the name of Jesus, it will not return void.  My word shall not return void.

Now turn to 2 Kings 20:1-11 Hezekiah was a king, Isaiah walked in and told him you shall die and not live.  He was sick and going to die when he heard the word from the Lord, he turned his face to the wall and cried out to God.  This is what he should have done first.  Before Isaiah left, he heard the Lord say, “Go back and ell him that he has 15 more years.”  This may have been the worst deal ever made, after he was healed, he had a son named Manasseh who became the most wicked king they ever had.

Today we are going to look in Acts 3 & 4 and follow the results of Peter and John healing the paralytic man.  God not only released a word for him, but six different words to describe what happened to this man.  Every time you start to teach and preach healing you get into trouble with the religious people and establishment – P & J were jailed for healing.  I want all six of them when I am sick.  God wants us healed and as long as it is in the Bible that God heals, I am going to preach it.  What I need is for some of you to lay aside your programs and you agendas and come into the prayer of agreement with me.  Then we can see what God wants his body to look like; healed, alive, well and joyful, not always complaining, whining scowling and filled with trouble.  You are God’s trophy in this world.

1.   Acts 3:7 “Strength,” the Greek word is stereo.  A stereo system is loud, but with Hi-fi it’s stronger, add surround sound, and you can hear every instrument. 

A few years ago some Olympic athletes were disqualified for using a drug.  Do you know what it is called?  Steroids!  The paralytic man looked at them to receive something.  I don’t want to seem to be irreverent, but what he got was a Holy Ghost dose of steroids.  You have to receive something into you life to be healed.  Athletes receive strength.  I am not here to indorse drugs, but say this with me: “Lord when I am weak, give me a shot of Holy Ghost steroids.  It makes you faster, stronger, bigger and able to lift more.  It gives you strength from the outside.  There is someone who can live inside you and strengthen you in a time of weakness.  I am talking to all of you who sometimes feel weak and think you can’t get up.  So you went to the doctor and they said you had an incurable disease that caused you to be weak.  May I announce to you that for every disease that tries to hold you back, God has the ultimate cure for it, it is the name of Jesus.

2.   Acts 3:11 “Healed,” the Greek word is Heomy, a healing in the physical body; to supernaturally heal the body.  I pray regular for my brothers and one day I expect them to be like this man in acts – running leaping and praising God.

3.   Acts 3:16 “Whole,” (perfect soundness) the Greek word is Hole Claris; this is one word, it means whole inheritance.  He stepped into his whole inheritance perfect soundness.  Don’t just let this pass you by, don’t skip over this.  Listen to what it says: “When they laid hands on him, he did not just get physically healed;” he stepped into what was his.  That is what Jesus died to give him, he didn’t get what belonged to someone else, he got what rightfully belonged to him.  Turn to 1^st Thessalonians 5:23.  You have an inheritance of health: spirit, soul and body.  We have to get this in the right order; your spirit is born again.  Your soul gets lined out with right thinking, and then your body will follow, because of God’s Word.  When you are full of bitterness, unforgiveness, bile comes up into your stomach.  Ulcers, cancer, and other ailments are a result of (you don’t want to hear this) your stomach being full of hydrochloric acid.

4.   Acts 4:9 “Made well,” (healed) the Greek word is Sozo – salvation.  Your healing is included in you Sozo.  Deliverance, peace, and prosperity are all included in this one word.  You can believe for your salvation, why not your healing!

5.   Acts 4:10 “Whole,” (this is not the same word in Acts 3:16) the Greek word is Hagiaus, that means holy sanctified set apart.  This does not mean that you are holier than thou; it simply means that you are healed.

Acts 4:13&14 This is not something that you need to have to have a degree for when your credentials are from a cemetery.  They had not gone to find out why God would not heal you today, it was by faith as they had been with Jesus!  Vs 14, the word is healed and again not the same Greek word as Heomy, this Greek words means, Theropuo.  We get our word therapy.  God had not only healed him instantly, he had given him the treatment to learn how to walk God had executed all the therapy needed, for him to be made well.

1^st Thessalonians 5:23 is the key to all healing, first you have to be born again (saved), this begins in you spirit.  Next, your soulish person needs to be renewed.  Right thinking has to rise up in you, He looked at them expecting to receive something.  TAKE SOME ACTION!!
