WHAT IF?

Matt 7:21

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven,

but he who does the will of My Father in heaven

What if it’s true? What if you were to die and now you are in a place that God has ordained for the Devil and his angels? What if you are there and you thought you’d be in heaven? What if you allowed some preacher to soft pedal God’s Truths, and somehow you didn’t take care of your own salvation? What if some domination taught you that if you just went to church and received communion you’d OK? What if you bought into the humanistic lie that said “I’m OK and your OK and when really neither one of us was OK

And what we desperately needed was someone to save us? What if you actually believed that by being positive and doing “good” or just some other way than what Jesus said it would make the flames of Hell any less hot? Because you were deceived, do you think the flames will be cooler, or any less torment?

What if in this place you realize that you were ashamed to say yes to God because you were afraid of what your friends would think? What if this place is a place where the only sound you hear is weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth? What if there is nothing that you can do to cover up the screams of people crying out to God, but knowing that it’s too late? What if it really is everlasting fire?  What if this fact alone is the greatest torment of all?

What if it’s true? What if Jesus really meant it when He said, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”  What if it’s not a matter of a prayer that accepts Jesus Christ, but requires turning away from sin and the bowing of your knees to Jesus Christ as Lord? What if you do have to take up your cross and follow Him? What if you do truly have to repent of your sins and follow Jesus with your whole heart, mind, soul and strength?  What if you must be born again? What if you had to actually have to place Jesus on the throne of your heart and give kingship to Jesus?  What if this was actually the way it should be? What if the way you are living was not the way God wanted you to live?

Are you secure in your relationship with Christ? Jesus told us in John 14:15, “ If ye love me, keep my commandments.” Is your relationship with Jesus the most important issue in your life? What if it is not? Can you take that big of a chance? WHAT IF?

The Beatitudes

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you,
and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

There are nine Beatitudes listed in Matthew 5,There is one more that I feel that should be listed as a Beatitude.  Do you know what it is? If you listen real close in today’s message this one will change your whole outlook and you will not only be blessed, you will become a blessing.

God Bless You, thanks for being part of our fellowship.

GOD’S LOVING GRACE

GEN. 6:8

.

I believe that having a solid understanding of the grace of god is essential to living a victorious life.  Grace is so much more than god’s unmerited favor. It is the power and ability of God available to meet our every need without any cost to us.  Without grace, we have nothing we are nothing, we have nothing. In fact everything in the Bible- receiving salvation, being filled with the Holy Spirit, fellowshipping with God, and having victory in our daily lives—is based on God’s Grace.

It’s very important that you and I understand that there is nothing we can do to save our-selves and pay for our sins. I believe that God, knowing man’s prideful heart, gave us the opportunity to work our way into right relationship with him through the law so we could see that it could not be done. Rom 3:10 "There is none righteous, no, not one; Rom3: 23“  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

So since man could not come to God, God came to man. John 1:1” In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”  Jesus became our substitute, paying the debt we owed at no cost to us. Eph 2:8-9 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (read AMP.)

What you and I could not earn God gave to us freely by His Grace. But his grace affects our lives in so many other areas. I came to realize that God’s grace was available to me to make the needed changes in my life. Just as I received my salvation by grace through faith and obedience, I needed to trust and receive every other blessing from God in the same way.
